I have been providing therapy to adults, adolescents, children and families for over 20 years now in a variety of settings (i.e., hospitals, community counseling clinics, schools, and private practice). I started my private practice at Del Valle Clinic in 2005, and for twelve of those years I worked concurrently as a school psychologist for the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District. I am also an adjunct faculty member at Cal State Eastbay teaching courses in their School Psychology and Counseling Psychology Master’s programs.

I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, ADHD, High function Autism, and trauma. In my work with children and adolescents I often encourage families and parents to play a role in treatment. I also enjoy working with adults as I have found it very rewarding and informative to work across the range of human development. My experience with adults has included working with clients suffering from depression, anxiety, Bipolar Spectrum Disorders, trauma, and grief.

My therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focus Therapy, and Mindfulness Based Stress Management. In my work I often help clients build skills in the areas of self-compassion and acceptance, self-regulation and calming, and cultivating a mindful presence.

Finally, I am fully versed in conducting psycho-educational and social-emotional assessments for children and adolescents. Please be apprised that I do not accept insurance for psychological testing services.
