Mental illness and addiction can destroy lives. Recovery and treatment can restore your soul. One of the biggest obstacles in the way of helping yourself regain control of your mind and life is the first step of reaching out for help. Standardized programs are not a perfect fit for everyone. Treatment plans are designed by me and my client to offer individualized sessions that give the client back the control they may have been missing in their lives. We are busy. We have jobs. We have families. Creating a safe environment to ensure your privacy and confidentiality is my priority.

I use an integrative treatment approach that includes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, solution focused, and relaxation and mindfulness strategies. My therapeutic techniques are supported by scientific research and proven effective. Although I have experience with many specialties, my focus is working with individuals that suffer from the following: addiction, anger and behavioral issues, mood disorders, codependency, poor coping skills, dual diagnosis, life transitions, relationship issues, low self-esteem, trauma, gender and sexual orientation issues.

I have been in the field of addiction treatment for close to two decades and clinical psychology for over 12 years. My clinical experience includes working as a drug treatment specialist, advanced care level psychologist, suicide prevention specialist, and drug abuse program coordinator. Working in various settings has given me the opportunity to interact with multiple ages, races, socio-economic backgrounds, religions, gender identities, and sexual orientations. In my career, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. I have experience with family therapy, couple therapy, group work, and one-on-one treatment.
